Update on the Associations activities!
We trust that you are keeping healthy and safe amidst the covid-19 challenges. The SAOPA NEC has been hard at work to keep up with the promises made during the focus session. We are happy to report that the allocation of responsibilities is well on track and to be concluded by the end of April as discussed.
As per the priority items from the focus sessions, the coding and communication service providers are in the final stages of defining deliverables, outcomes and timelines. Member input and comment will be required and more details to follow as soon as it becomes available.
Significant efforts have been made to ensure that members are guided and assisted with essential and updated information about requirements. SAOPA recently engaged with Discovery Medical Scheme and Metropolitan Health, updates on the progress will be included in the next communication.
The restrictions of the covid-19 virus and its consequence has forced the SAOPA NEC to review hosting of the bi-annual SAOPA congress scheduled to take place in Cape Town in September. We are extremely excited to shortly share with you what would be a first for SAOPA. So, be sure to keep the date of the 10-12th September 2020 saved for this event.
